Tower 55 is manufacturing a new line of HO diesels. The quality can be summed up by review comments in 'Model Railroad News'; "If I had to come up with one word to describe this new model (ES44DC) it would have to be stunning. I have only seen this level of detail in an HO-diesel in models built by such noted modelers as Ed Ryan, Dave Hussey, and others." 

These models have the new Digitrax sound & DCC installed, and sound will run on analog or DCC. The first releases are the BNSF ES44DC (Heritage II, 3 nos. + no no.), CSX (4 nos.) + N-S ES40DC (4 nos.). UP C45ACCTE (4 nos.); ES44AC CPR (red/black, 5 nos.). Later will come the Heritage SD70ACe series: D&RGW (#1989), UP George Bush (#4141), UP/MP (#1982), UP/WP (#1983), SP/UP (#1996), C&NW/UP (#1995) + UP/MKT (#1988).
